Will we have food enough in the future?

Last evening, I met I girl who told me she became vegetarian two weeks ago. I asked her: "why?" Are you sure you will survive in Spain without eating meat, the delicous cured ham? She replied that it was a question of ethics. It was a reason that I could understand at the begining, but then I did more or less. Now, I can understand it better with the help of articles and videos like these. I am still thinking of all that...

  1. In relation with this, nowadays I think that the problems we have are very real but maybe they are a little exaggerates because of the spreading of the information, we hear plenty of news everyday about the same and they cause alarm among us. It is true that we have to take care of our Planet but I think that it is out of our hands to do it, we cannot do too much, something of course, but perhaps who must do more are the Goverments.

we can do much more that the gouvernements.
We only must to observe aroun us and to apply the common sense.

  3. Look Marisol it's very extensive what we can talk about this topic but what I mean it's that, for example, I recycle everything at home but when I throw the different types of rubbish inside different containers, in most cases they are full, maybe because they aren't unoccupied frecuently enough; also you can see garbage collectors that don't use them properly and I really mistrust "governments" and whatever type of administration deal with this theme. Regardless I contribute all I can.
    Regards.

  5. I don't know what to think about this... I think that, nowadays, it's almost impossible to live without causing harm to others: humans, animals or plants. If the whole world became vegetarian, wouldn't we have to use immense crop fields so that everybody could eat? Wouldn't we have to destroy rainforests to set them up? Wouldn't we need to use so much water that there wouldn't be enough left for other uses (such us drinking!)?. I don't think vegetarianism is the solution to all the problems of the Earth. It's not that easy.

  6. I don't think that the solution would be being vegetarian, there are even cases of intensive agriculture, though tomatoes do not suffer in this way, I suppose...

I am realizing that this matter is much complicated than expected. Better not to think so much and try to as ecological and respectful with the environment as we can...

  9. ok,then.i think i didn't understand the point of vue in my first reading.ok.so.i think that all of you are right.the humans have to take the resposability of theirs accions.we have to try conserve the world to the other generations wihtout causing impact on the environment if it's possible.dificult-yes,impossible-no.the only thing we have to do is understand this critical situation and understand that we are able to change the destany of the world.and that is so important because it will be so sed for the next generations because we all are responsable and now we are building the future.

  12. Hello!
The problem it isn't to eat or not to eat meat. I don't think that vegetarianism would be the solution to all the problems like pollution or recycling. We need proteins and in the vegetarian food we can't find them. We have always eaten meat, since fare-off times... Also, I can't understand why eating meat is not good for environment.
